Bhotekoshi flood: 1,127 bodies found so far

Due to the devastating flood in Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa, 1,127 bodies have been found till 5 am on Wednesday. 45 in Rasuwa, 155 in Nuwakot, 59 in Dhading, 348 in Chitwan, 66 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 217 in Nawalparasi East, 190 in Nawalparasi West and 9 in India have been found. Of those found, 1,113 have had their post-mortem reports completed and 95 bodies have been handed over to their relatives, according to Nepal Police.

Details of 911 unidentified bodies have also been uploaded on the Nepal Police website.

So far, 7,912 police personnel have been mobilized for rescue, search, relief distribution, and body management in the flood-affected areas. 6,541 people have been rescued from flood-affected areas, while a search is underway for 4,858 people who are still missing.

The police are taking various flood-affected families to safe places in various districts, carrying out necessary rescue and search operations in coordination and cooperation with various agencies and locals, and removing roadblocks at various locations.a
