US provides $500,000 aid to Nepal
Khem Raj Upadhyay, August 12. US President Donald Trump has said that the United States is ready to provide all necessary assistance to Nepal, which is suffering due to the devastating floods in Rasuwa.
Trump said that the US administration is in contact with the leadership of Nepal and is ready to provide necessary assistance in the disaster.
According to the American news agency NBC News, Trump expressed his commitment to Nepal in a brief response to the media after the ceremony held at the White House to sign the executive order on changing the name of Lake Ontario.
"We have called Nepal and offered to provide whatever assistance they need. We have a good relationship with the leadership of Nepal," Trump said.
He informed that he was sending aid to Nepal and expressed his commitment to provide whatever assistance Nepal needs.
She said that the US government has already offered assistance and aid to Nepal, and the first priority of President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio is the rescue of American citizens in Nepal.
US to provide $500,000 in emergency assistance
The US State Department said it is closely monitoring the situation caused by the Rasuwa floods. The ministry also said that disaster response experts have been sent to Nepal to assist in relief and rescue operations.
The US State Department has expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the floods and to all those affected.
The US has announced that it will provide emergency assistance worth $500,000 through Catholic Relief Services. The amount will be used to provide emergency shelter, relief supplies, and water, sanitation, and hygiene assistance to flood-affected communities.
According to the US State Department, the US Embassy in Kathmandu is coordinating with local authorities to locate and assist US citizens in the affected areas.
US citizens in Nepal who need immediate assistance due to the floods have also been urged to contact the US Embassy.
